My sister and I had an interesting conversation about Deep Purple’s song Smoke on the Water. She has always seen it as The Tower - a destruction in life that happens in order to make way for new events. I completely see that, and find it valid. But I have the card as Death - transition or change from the old into the new.

Both visions work - and the song can work for either card.

This is what makes 4Tunes exciting to me. I don’t want my card picks to be the absolute answer - but instead, the start of a discussion.

In my mind, what tips the scales of this particular song is the music. It *feels* like a Death card, rather than a Tower card. Which is a little unfair, as it means that my emotional response to the song over rides her thoughtful choice!
